Do you have a vacancy on your Governing Board and need help to fill it?

As Shaping Governance, we work with 100s of governing boards each year, the majority of which have at least one vacancy that they struggle to fill.

We work with local and national employers to encourage them to support their employees in becoming governors. This is good for the employees, as they gain many skills that they can take back to the business, and it's good for the employers and their corporate social responsibility.

We have a good track record of finding governors - so give us a try.

How it works?

Using our five-step process, we will find you the right person for your board.

Step 1: Tell us about your governor vacancy and the skills that you need using the form button below; we may ask for further details;

Step 2: We use our local and national business connections to identify potential people with an interest in being a governor;

Step 3: We provide governor induction training to ensure that they understand roles, expectations and commitment before they start;

Step 4: We introduce the potential governor to the chair and headteacher, allowing the school to assess the suitability of the candidate;

Step 5: If the appointment is approved, we can continue to work with the school to embed good governance.

**Special offer for schools that appoint one of our governors:

The Governing Board will have access to our award-winning team development session, the Shaping Governance Programme, at a reduced cost.  This two-hour online session for your governing board will help all governors, and especially your new additions, to fully understand their roles and responsibilities and how they can govern more effectively.  The Shaping Governance Programme doesn't just induct new governors into the role, it inducts them in to the school and your ways of working.
