Governance Reviews and Evaluation

Evaluation is at the heart of every successful organisation and governance board and that's because reflection and evaluation promote learning, growth, and improvement.  Regular reflection helps governors and boards to be more self-aware, be more critical in their thinking, and achieve their goals.

At Shaping Governance we understand the benefits that regular reflection can bring.  We can help you to evaluate your governance and have three ways that we can support you.  These range from providing tools for you to quickly evaluate your governance at each meeting; our External Reviews of Governance - providing an external view; and our award-winning Shaping Governance Programme, a blend of both - but with added benefits.  Find out more about these different evaluation techniques below.

Self-Reflection

Taking the time to reflect regularly is all part of good governance. No matter what type of organisation you are, use our top tips to help you become a learning organisation. Purposeful reflection takes practice. The tips are designed to make you think about the importance of regular reflection, understand which 'mirror' to use and how you can make this an active part of your governance.

We are experienced reviewers, and have undertaken reviews for multi academy trusts, single academy trusts, maintained, faith, PRUs, Special and independent school governing boards, as well as other public service boards.
